UK authorised veterinary medicinal product.
Ingredients
Active Ingredient: Each pink tablet contains Piperazine citrate, 125mg. Each fawn tablet contains Dichlorophen, 250mg
Directions
The treatment consists of three doses given at weekly intervals. Tablets may be taken whole or crushed and mixed into the cat’s food. If your cat dislikes tablets, be sure to use a strong-smelling food, such as a piece of cheese, to mask the tablets. First dose: Give the appropriate number of PINK tablets (for roundworm) for the cat’s weight, as shown below. Second dose: One week later, give the same number of FAWN tablets (for tapeworm). Third dose: After another week, repeat the first dose of PINK tablets to complete the treatment. Weigh your pet before treatment to accurately establish the correct dosage. You can do this by weighing yourself on the bathroom scales, and repeating whilst holding your pet. The difference is the weight of the cat. For cats weighing more than 5kg (11lbs), give one extra tablet per kg. Cats should be retreated every 3 months. Nursing females should be treated for roundworms 2 weeks after giving birth, and every 2 weeks until weaning. Warnings: Do not remove the tablets from the strip until ready for use. Any part-used tablets should be discarded. Do not treat cats under 0.6kg (1.5lbs), or cats less than 6 months old. Do not repeat treatment if vomiting occurs shortly after dosing. Whilst use of this product is normally free from side-effects, some animals may show a reaction. Occasionally, an animal may show excessive salivation, due to the bitter taste of the tablets. This may look alarming, but is not harmful. Ataxia (unsteadiness, disorientation) may also occasionally be seen in a very few individuals. In such cases, keep your pet indoors in a quiet place and ensure it continues to drink. If symptoms do not quickly cease, consult your Veterinary Surgeon, taking the product packaging with you. This type of reaction can be very concerning for owners, but should last no longer than 24 hours and have no lasting effects. Consult your vet about future worming treatments. Consult your Veterinary Surgeon before treating pregnant animals, and those with a history of epilepsy and renal dysfunction. If signs of disease persist or appear, always consult your Veterinary Surgeon.
